Duck Season is Open and MVD is there to Help
September 3, 2009 - Cincinnati, OH - On August 26, a group of about 12 MVD employees, including Jeff Black (President and CEO) and Thad Edmonds (CFO), spent their morning helping the Freestore Foodbank in Cincinnati get ready for their major fundraising event of the year - the Rubber Duck Regatta.

There is a lot of work that needs to happen before an event such as the Duck Regatta takes place. MVD volunteers were able to clean and sort approximately 20,000 ducks (out of 85,000 sold) during their three-hour shift. The ducks are sold to generate funds to help feed those in need in the Cincinnati community.
As part of this volunteer and community outreach effort, MVD also reached out to Channel 5 News to cover the preparations at the Freestore Foodbank and provide additional exposure to the Duck Regatta.

"This is another great example of MVD's dedication and commitment to our community. It is an uplifting feeling when companies like ours are willing and ready to help those in need. We showed some great teamwork in accomplishing our mission. The Freestore was surprised and grateful that we did so many ducks in such short order. Thanks to all those who volunteered their time and to those who stayed behind. That is the true definition of team," expressed both Jeff and Thad.
The rubber duckies will be dropped into the Ohio River on Sunday, September 6th as part of Riverfest festivities.
